Originating from the home kitchen of Lisa Dodds, this bakery evolved from requests for baked goods from family, friends and neighbors into a small business venture. Guided by the generational education of her mother and grandmother, (plus a cake decorating class in the 6th grade) Lisa grew her business to a level of attention that resulted in an invitation to participate in Cupcake Wars. While, at the time she was trying to build her business and was unable to participate, this may be an exciting adventure for the future.
Through the challenges of taking a homegrown business and transforming it into a commercial kitchen, Lisa can now showcase her mastery of decadent taste profiles and textures reminiscent of an authentic French patisserie. Settling for nothing less than perfect, this is a bakery that takes great care in creating every tasty treat from scratch, start to finish. Customers boast of fresh baked brownie smells wafting across The Compass parking lot, along with the nostalgic and comforting buttery rich croissants that practically melt in your mouth.
