Development Spotlight: The Evansville Project

There hasn’t been a project of this scale in Central Wyoming in a long time. Keep reading to discover how an innovative company is anchoring a development that promises local and national economic impact.

Mesa Solutions is a pioneer in the energy sector. Since its founding in 2014, the company has rapidly established itself as a builder of power generation solutions that run on clean-burning natural gas. With headquarters in Loveland, CO, the company already has a presence in 27 locations across the U.S.   

Mesa Solutions currently has several facilities in Natrona County. They specialise in manufacturing natural gas generators and providing preventative and predictive maintenance. This project is the latest in their efforts to consolidate operations in central Wyoming for greater efficiency and continued growth.

A Collaborative Effort

Meeting this need would be a significant challenge. Fortunately, they were able to forge several strategic partnerships that allowed them to move forward. First, they needed a suitable building site and that’s where Brick & Bond came in. After a year of negotiations, site visits, and opportunity reviews, Mesa and Brick & Bond were able to put together a deal on a parcel of land in Evansville near their current facilities. However, that site needed infrastructure development to support the envisioned new building. Brick & Bond along with Mesa Solutions and others were able to help the town of Evansville secure a nearly $9 million grant from the Wyoming Business Council to make this possible and unlock the land’s commercial potential. 

With these hurdles cleared, crews began preparing the ground early this year for an approximately 208,000-square-foot facility that will house both manufacturing operations and administrative offices. The completed facilities are expected to open in the summer of 2026 and will be Mesa Solutions’ primary manufacturing hub.

Community-Wide Impact

This project represents a lot more than just a building. For Evansville and Casper, it’s an investment in the community that will pay dividends long into the future. 

In the near term, Mesa Solutions expects to add over 200 jobs to its payroll with the new facility and aims for even more over the next five years. These will be high-skill, high-paying jobs that provide the stability and financial resources to attract and anchor families in the area. To support their hiring goals, Mesa Solutions has been working closely with Casper College to implement a skills development program that will provide valuable workforce training. 

The economic impact here will be significant as this raises demand and spending on everything from housing and groceries to entertainment. Plus, it adds diversity to the local economy, as Mesa Solutions is not solely dependent on the oil and gas sector.    Moreover, Mesa Solutions has been a consistent benefactor in the community, investing generously in youth sports and local non-profits. An increasing company footprint will broaden the positive impact here as well. 

The Bigger Picture

The new Mesa Solutions facility is just one part of the Evansville project.

The presence of the new manufacturing facility makes the surrounding area attractive to other companies that are vendors for Mesa Solutions or related businesses that could benefit from the proximity. This means additional jobs and expanded demand for all kinds of services and products in the area. Ultimately, the project will have a positive economic impact that will be felt at the regional level.
